We keep it simple

Beautify Marengo is a local volunteer group in Marengo, IL. Any information you share with us — your name, email, or volunteer preferences — is used only to coordinate local cleanup events and send community updates. We don't sell your data, share it with third parties, or use it for anything outside of Beautify Marengo activities.

What we collect and why

• Newsletter signup: Name and email — to send event updates and volunteer opportunities.
• Volunteer availability: Name, email (optional), and scheduling preferences — to coordinate Earth Day cleanup shifts.
• Cleanup area reports: Location description and optional email — to log areas for our cleanup list and follow up if needed.
• Contact/partnership inquiries: Name, organization, and email — forwarded directly to our team inbox, not stored in a database.

Your data is encrypted

This website is served over HTTPS. Data you submit is transmitted securely and stored in Cloudflare's infrastructure, which encrypts data at rest and in transit. We take reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorized access.

You're in control

Every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link that lets you stop receiving emails or permanently delete your information from our records. To request removal of any other data, email us at hello@beautifymarengo.com. We keep your information only as long as needed to coordinate events or until you request deletion.

No tracking or ads

We don't run ads, use tracking pixels, or install cookies beyond what's required for the site to function. We don't use Google Analytics or any third-party analytics service.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on this page.
